Hello all, I’m on Estradot 50 and I take utrogestan half the month. My last period began 11 days ago and lasted about 4 days which is normal for me on HRT. Then yesterday (Day 11) my period came again! Not just a random suspicious bleed but a proper period with cramps, sore boobs etc. Normally I’d be starting utrogestan in a few days time but do you reckon I should just reset the clock to zero now? And take it in 2 weeks? This hasn’t happened to me before so not sure what to do!

I saw a specialist about unexpected/irregular bleeding and she said to ignore it and just continue with the regime (progesterone half the month). She said as long as I was getting 14 days of progesterone into me, the bleeding pattern didn’t matter).

I think it depends on how much of a cycle you have. If your own periods are sporadic then continue the utro as normal. If you have a strong cycle of your own I find it much better to align the hrt cycle with my own. My own cycle never changed to fit in to the hrt one.
