Title: How do you apply Sandrena

Hello ladies.

I'm looking for some advice please. I am switching from 2 pumps oestrogel to 1 sachet of Sandrena. Can I split the sachet over both my thighs? Thank you for your help.

I was wondering as it said you should alter sides, did you measure it out or just roughly half on each side?

Why do you want to split the dose over both thighs? When I took it I used to just rub it into alternate thighs as directed.  It didn't work for me generally (gel) so I went back to patches. Hope you get on well with it anyway!

When I used it I spread it out on my inner thigh. Then any left on my hand, I'd use that on my other inner thigh.
Then the same again alternating each thigh each day.

I'm alternating it in thighs. Its been 5 days now and hot flushes worse an ever hence this post at 5am. I wonder how long I should wait before asking to go up to 1.5.

Hi, I swapped from oestrogel to sandrena about 3 weeks ago. I was on 4 pumps so I'm using 2 x 1mg sachets at night. I spread the gel on my thigh and alternate side each night. I do find that it is a bit more sticky/tacky after drying hence putting on a night to allow time for it to dry. Never enough time In the mornings. Does anyone use it elsewhere? Thanks x

Do you put the 2 sachets on one thigh then? I was wondering if you could do that. Hope its working well for you.

Hi Hopeful2

I’ve been using Sandrena gel for over 3 years now.  I’ve gone from 1mg a day to 1.5mg and then to 2mg.  Now back on 1.5mg as found the 2mg gave me awful cortisol feelings.  It’s trial and error to find out which suits you best.  Also, I alternate  thighs every day (although with my memory I sometimes forget which one I did the day before!)

Also, I usually wear shorts in the morning so it can dry for 20 mins or so before I properly dress.
