Title: Scuba Diving & HRT
Post by: LozzerB on February 09, 2024, 11:50:42 AM
Hello

Not sure if this is the right forum but I presume it is fine to scuba dive and take HRT? Am on Oestrogen gel and Utrogestan – struggling to find any info online.

Many thanks  Laura

Your instructor will explain the ins and outs .......... menopause isn't an illness but should be mentioned.

The problem I would see is when the patches wash off  ::)

Perhaps that's because nobody asked the question  :). It doesn't affect any other sport so I can't think of a reason it should stop you diving. Do you have a particular concern?

I used to scuba dive when on hrt, there were no problems with it. As part of bsac you filled in a medical questionnaire, and I noted hrt on the form, nothing was raised as a result

Happy diving, I still miss it. 👌
