Provera not proverb! Sorry autocorrect! Hi guys sorry to bother you all I have been struggling so badly with progesterone- from utrogestan, to cyclogest, to coil back to cyclogest, I cannot bear the way i feel two weeks out of the month and when I go continuous I don't know what will happen! NHS meno specialist has suggested trying provera, synthetic progestogen, any experience of this for those who struggle with progesterone? I'm having difficulty going on with life especially the morning after P and with local issues to where I am using cyclogest. Couldn't tolerate the coil and it turned out to be infected.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so bad.

Can I ask, are you using the Cyclogest vaginally or rectally?

I was changed to Provera after suffering quite badly with Utrogestan.  It has been absolutely fine for me, doesn't feel like I'm taking anything.

I just couldn't function at all on Utrogestan. Felt dizzy, nauseous and just so tired constantly. I tried to take it vaginally, slightly better but just got worse the longer I was on it.  I take the Provera orally and from the first day, it was fine. None of the side effects I got with Utrogestan.

Of course, nothing can suit everyone but it's an alternative to try.
