I was on evoral conti and loved but but saw a private consultant who suggested evoral 75 testosterone and 5mg noristherone (mg might not be the right unit)
All the lit said 5 norethisterone was too much50 oestrogen was 1 norethisterone so 75 should be 1.5 but it only comes in 5 so....
I've been having bleeding since I changed and after 4 months I asked to go back to 1.5 evoral conti patches
I thought she agreed & she also sent me off for a scan cos of the bleeding - but when I got the prescription it said 1 twice a week
Do inphone back and speak to the pharmacist, or the gp or can I just but kore from Spain or somewhere?

Hi you can get a mini pill which is norethisterone so you can take 3 of these a day which gives you nearer to the correct dose.

Technically yes, practically no
Apparently that's not normal.hrt (according to my practise)
But evoral conti was fine I just want more of it

Hi yes it’s off licence so your GP doesn’t have to prescribe.

Hi Katymac
Why did they decide to take you off evorel conti if it was working for you?
-
The consultant thought I needed more oestrogen- which I think I do
But I need less progesterone- I reckon the balance in evoral conti suited me so want 75 oestrogen and the appropriate lower amount of progesterone (bonus as its in a patch and I do t have to remember to take it each day)

Found 6 patches from when they changed me to 75s
Going to use 1.5 and see how I go until I feel brave enough to ring up again
