Title: timings of HRT
Post by: cm1304 on January 04, 2024, 01:18:15 PM
Afternoon ladies, I have been on HRT since last August, I take Oestrogel & Utrogestan - 14 days on & 14 days off as i still have monthly periods.
As I was marking my new calendar with the dates to stop & start my Utrogestan I realised that I have been getting my timings wrong, I have been taking it for 15 days, instead of 14 as I was just going from Thursdays and counting 2 weeks from there, so instead of leaving 14 days inbetween stopping and starting, I was starting/stopping on the 14th day - do you think this will have caused any problems? I finished last night, and so I would start again on the 18th January, is this right?

I think its more of an issue if you take it less than the scheduled number of days rather than more. Women who are past peri take utrogestan every day so I think you're fine to have been taking it one day extra!

As above. The normal dose for sequi is 200mg x 12 days.
