Title: Increasing dose after 5 years
Post by: Pauline b on December 30, 2023, 11:40:52 AM
Hi I have been on EStradot 75 and ultrageston for 5 years I an 57. They have worked really well but recently I am feeling low and a bit anxious. Is it ok to increase in your late 50s I was thinking I might start reducing to 50 when I reached 60 but I feel like I now need more not less.

A colleague suggested a change to the gel as absorbency can sometimes be better than a patch

Any advice gratefully received

Hi yes it could be that you need a higher dose of oestrogen so you could increase to a 100 patch .

Gel or patches is a personal choice. It’s what suits you best.

If you’re not absorbing from the patches it could be worth changing, but the best thing would be to increase the patch first.
