Hi all,
Firstly, I hope I am posting this in the right section.
I have been using Ovestin for some time 2x weekly, and it has eased my symptoms of VA.
However, I am now suffering with a terrible constant burning.
My previous experience I could hardly walk this time it's more so a burning sensation.
I had an examination by the Dr who seems to think it is VA along with Thrush.
I have never had thrush, so not sure what it feels like, I have been given treatment but I'm feeling low as this is the 4 day of burning.
I'm sure the burning lasted quite a while with my last flare up of VA but wondering if anyone has had burning like this with Thrush.
Thank you in advance

U aren't using the VA treatment enough. Every night is important to keep symptoms at bay. Constant burning is a typical symptom of atrophy.
Did the GP take a sample to send away to C if your body is 'growing' thrush?
Begin now - put a dose into the vagina and another late this evening. Also take pain relief to help symptoms.
It's too near C.mas/New Year to phaff about ;-). VA treatment is for ever.

Yes Clkd is right. Also, I've had thrush and it's more really itchy with a white discharge, rather than burning I would say.

The Dr did say it might be a case of increasing the amount if times I use the Ovestin.
I will use it more often.

I had thrush last year with no symptoms at all, only found out as GP swabbed me to check for infection as my bleed was slightly longer than usual and I had some excess white discharge. I always thought you had to have extreme itching with it too. It seems from what I've read recently thar burning can be a symptom too, as can increased discharge.

Do use the treatment more often at least until mid-January.
Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary useful.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi, I have the same problem. Never sure if it’s VA or thrush although most times immswabbed it comes back clear of any infections and it is in fact the VA even though I take Vagifem every night.
I’m currently upping my regime to one Vagifem twice a day due to a horrendous bladder flare (can’t pee, uti symptoms etc)
It really is all joy this this thing ;D

It can be difficult to get comfy if the vaginal lips are very thin B4 treatment is started. Slaring a little 'ovestin' or mostoirisor around the labia can help too.
