Title: Testosterone is a wonder drug
Post by: WildOtter on December 08, 2023, 01:59:07 PM
Hi everyone.  I've been posting a bit recently, mostly desperate cries for help as I couldn't find the right dose of oestrogen post surgical menopause.

Finally after much discussion my GP agreed to prescribe testosterone.  I've been on it two weeks now and I feel amazing. Definitely the missing piece for me. I feel like myself again. My brain works. I have energy. I have libido (my partner doesn't know what's hit him!). My anxiety is so much better. The palpitations and shortness of breath are gone.  At this point I couldn't care less if I lose all my hair and grow a moustache.

Just wanted to share as it really has been a gamechanger and people on here have been kind enough to talk me down when I was having such a bad time on oestrogen only.

Totally agree, not sure how something so small can have such an effect and so quickly. I really think it should be prescribed routinely with HRT and not just for loss of libido
