From Thrapston-Oundle\Kettering area. Now 30 hours without any sightings. Off following his nose ............. Small, working dog very much missed.
-
Have they used a drone company such Drone to Home?
-
Tnx the owners contacted a Drone Search Company this morning but don't know when they plan to put 1 up. He could be 7-8 miles from home :'( :-\.
-
I guess it's all across social media as it's the best way to spread the word. I hope he's soon back home
-
Tnx. Hopefully he hasn't caught his collar in brambles :'(
-
He is registered as missing with several FB groups, Wood Green and other kennels.
Drone and rescue dog been out with no success :'(
At least it hasn't rained or snowed in the area that he went after a deer or hare :-\
-
I've been following this on the various sites. No way of knowing whether he was stolen. So sad. I really hope he's found soon.
Taz. :'(
-
1 way or another, survived or not. It's the possibilities that keep whizzing through our minds :-\
He's so young looking and quite The Boy ...... with his curly hair ::)
-
I rang a rescue centre late afternoon yesterday: apparently the woman who answered had been away for 2 days - and didn't know what had come in to the centre :-\. That would be my first move if I was manning a rescue line. She refused to take my details in case Wilbur turns up, telling me that all details will be on his chip. That they only ring that number. However, if the owners are out of mobile range :-\ ..........
She was quite unhelpful. Whereas the other big centres have methods in place to answer all queries. Now it's poured with cold drizzle all day :'(

CLKD - Perhaps she felt only the owner really needs to know if the dog has been found.
Bear in mind that there may be a concern about dogs being acquired dishonestly sell on.
I would imagine the woman manning the rescue line is actually looking after the dogs in the rescue centre. Probably a bit busy with the dogs to give you her full attention.
-
She was the receptionist. So should have had details of what had been brought in to hand. All the others that I contacted could tell me within minutes.
No centre would hand over a rescue animal without making background checks. Having worked in rescue checks are rigorous and contracts have to be signed. A good centre will keep in touch with any1 who adopts with meet ups twice a year.
-
I suppose if 50 people rang enquiring about a dog and asking to be kept informed, that would be a huge task and very time consuming? The receptionist would probably get in a lot of trouble.
-
That's 1 way of looking at it.
-
Now reported as stolen :'(
-
I just hope he's warm and fed wherever he is clkd :'(
-
So do we all. He will never know how much he is missed :'(
-
Maybe contact local police stations, see if a dog has been hit by a car etc someone would surely report that
-
Police etc. are informed, I think that Highways are responsible for picking up from the road side.
-
Handed into a Vets at breakfast time, now home. Safe.
-
YES!!!
Fabulous happy news for that entire household. Thanks for the update. Am smiling.
-
Yay how fab,was the vet local or had he wandered?
-
:thankyou:
He ran on scent on 28th November - handed into a Vet 11 miles away from were last seen this morning. 'found on a bridge'. Doesn't matter, now back with his owners. Smelling of fags apparently ::). I can't wait to get over there for a chin wash ;D
I want for nowt else .......... 70 soon and Wilbur is safe with his family.
-
So pleased to read this earlier today. Seems he's put on a bit of weight so not running loose all this time then. Diet time for Wilbur it seems :)
-
He'll swim that off in the Lake ;-)
He looks a little dazed when being handed over.
-
That’s fantastic news! I still can’t find the story online but am so pleased he’s home.
