Title: Changing time of ultrogestan and bleeding
Post by: Pauline b on November 27, 2023, 01:02:37 PM
Hi I have recently been trying to change my time of ultrogestan from tea time to evening and I have started to bleed not dark in colour like I have had before but more like a period. I have been on ultrogestan and 75 estradot for over 5 years with no issues. I have also been under a lot of stress recently wondering if this is a factor

Hi
I have found if I temporarily forget to take my utrogestan and am even a couple of hours late  taking it , I get some very light spotting the following morning , particularly if this is following my patch change ( Evorel 50 ). I do also think that stress plays havoc with our hormones ! X

Hi Pauline
Did you get any other responses to your query ? I'm now wondering if this is a common complaint or if I'm super sensitive to utrogestan? X

hi there,
yes im the same if im late / or changing time of utrogestan. Im on 50mcg estradot patch and 100mg utrogestan (which i use vaginally) have been on this regime for over 5 years successfully. Also ive found stress does lead to a bit of break through spotting/ bleeding as progesterone is used to help ‘make ‘ cortisol - the stress hormone- stress most definitely disrupts my hrt.
