Title: Propranolol
Post by: WildOtter on November 26, 2023, 04:15:15 PM
Any other ladies prescribed propranolol for anxiety/palpitations?  My doctor gave me some to cope with the symptoms of increasing my dose but frankly it doesn't seem to be doing all that much. I've just been taking it as and when I feel anxious/fluttery - is it better to just take it regularly regardless, does it have a cumulative effect? Thanks x

Take it regularly?   I was prescribed in 2002 initially 80mg 3 times a day for 3 weeks.  Then 40mg twice a day followed by 40mg at night.  What dose has been suggested?  It worked for me.

Hi I have taken propranolol for anxiety for a few years starting at 3 40mg a day and have reduced to 1 40mg a day now and it has stopped my palpitations and general feel much calmer.  I would take one a day and see how you get on x
