Hi ladies, before I start tweaking my HRT( currently 100Estradot( 5 weeks changed from Evorel) mirena coil and Testogel, has anyone heard of B6 for nausea? I read somewhere a while ago about it settling hormones? Don’t really want to change my HRT as so many symptoms have started to improve and are a lot more manageable xx
-
Which part of the HRT is causing nausea?
-
I presume the estrogen CLKD?
-
Could it be too much oestrogen?
-
That was my first thought to be honest. Been on HRT for over 4 years now, I’m 54 so not sure if I need less?
-
Hormonal nausea troubled me for many years, in the 10-14 days prior to a bleed.
Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary to chart progress? R U due a review soon?
U could also put the product names into the search box: individually : to read the threads about the HRT. make notes ;-)
-
Thank you. I gave up with diaries as I have the coil so no idea where I’m at. Review due January but they maybe with GP for the first time as my specialist has increased prices and it’s getting a bit silly!

In the mean time look at the Surgery web-site to see if there is a GP or Nurse Practitioner interested in womens health? Or ask the Practice Manager as our Practice doesn't advertise our specific GP who would probably become overwhelmed !
Ginger is supposedly good for nausea, as R anti-travel sickness tablets. Though these can cause drowsiness. ::)
Let us know how you get on.

Bless you CLKD I’ve taken note of all of that, I have tried ginger a while back but will give that another go x
-
How R U this morning?
-
Morning. Fine this morning, usually starts mid morning then goes for a few hours then back at it’s worse around 4-5 pm x
-
Awful. :-\
-
B6 100% worked for my extreme morning sickness back in the day. No idea about for menopause though
-
:thankyou:
-
Oh really, I’m definitely going to give it a go so thank you for sharing xx
-
I’ve been trying to remember the dose as my midwife recommended it, but it was 15 years ago. I hope google will be more use and you feel better soon x
-
It did occur to me though, could anything else be making you feel nauseous? A few years ago, I was convinced I was pregnant due to morning sickness like symptoms. Then I realised I was being ill half hour after my morning cup of green tea. I’ve since learned that green tea can make some people sick, even though they’ve drunk it for years. Is there any other patterns to your nausea?

The only thing I can think of is new supplements so I stopped them yesterday to see if it makes a difference? I have ordered some B6 as it won’t hurt will it? Thank you for your replies, much appreciated xx
