'It's not the end of the world' - I know it's not, but you've just invalidated my feelings
'Google it' - I'm asking you for help for a reason
'It is what it is' - Yes ???
Anyone else? ;D
-
;D
'it is what it is' - David Coulthard's book title and quite true when issues can't be altered
'it might never happen' >:(
-
At the end of the day
-
....... just kneel and pray .........
-
Not phrases but annoying words, my children can't seem to say a sentence without it including the words technically, literally or actually, it drives me nuts!
-

Or include the word 'like' in multiple places

Oh and that too,the misuse of the word literally,I watched some guy on tv and he said "my head literally exploded " 😳😳😳😂🤣😂🤣
-
My Mum will kill me ............ probably not!
-
My son has started to say 'no offence but...'
I have told him in no uncertain terms that any statement prefaced with no offence is undoubtedly going to cause offence 🤣

It is usually directed at his sister, and usually an insult he can't disguise!

Literally- a favourite with YouTubers. This is often adapted to ‘literal’ now. ‘I am in literal heaven right now’ ;D
Also ‘You guys’. We are turning American.
-
Oh American Middle School sitcoms, the bane of my life, and the language I've had to ban as a result 🙈
-
Lessons will be learnt.
Usually said in statements after someone has cocked up big time, to try and make it seem we're some how going to benefit from the wrong doing.
-
Ooh another one is talking about how covid is unprecedented. It has been used as an excuse for absolutely everything.

Oh I hate that one too, it’s the worst

Yes, I hate that phrase too! And the word “ unprecedented”
Others for me are
“ I’m not going to lie, but …”
“No offence, but “….
When the word “ super” is used over and over
People that say “ okay “ multiple times.
Tons more, but brain can’t remember right now ;D
-
Oh yes, 'super' is one for me too. Super busy, etc. I don't know where all these new ways of using words comes from but they spread through YouTubers. I don't hear real people using them day to day. Apart from 'you guys' ::)
