Hi. I'm new to all this and very confused!, I am in my first month of taking Oestrogel every night and Utrogestan 100mg tablets from days 15-36
I have always had irregular periods.
I started taking Utrogestan on on day 15 of my cycle, 7 days later I now have my period, do I stop taking the Utrogestan tablets now and start again in 15 days or carry out on taking to the 26th day and have a 3 day break?
So confused!!. Info in tablet is all about 28 days cycle
Thanks Andrea

Hi Andrea,
From my experience, you carry on as if you have a 28 day cycle. So keep taking the progesterone until day 26. It’s not unusual to have a period earlier or later than expected. I assume, because you are on this regime you are peri menopausal? During peri, our own hormones fluctuate wildly in the background. Some months I had 2 periods, other months I barely had one at all. It can be a rollercoaster ride.
Stick to the 28 day regime you have been prescribed. It can take a while for your body to adjust.
Good luck and welcome btw.
