Title: Mirena Coil Post Menopause
Post by: Maureenl on October 02, 2023, 11:37:38 AM
Hi just wondering if anyone has a mirena coil for endometriosis, had one for 15 years no period, was great.  Last Mirena removed after 7 years in situ, as blood work showed menopause, now 2.5 years post Mirena removal suffering horrific pelvic and ovary pain, at 57 years old. Not on HRT.  Could my endo have returned.  Grateful for any comments. :)

Morning.   :welcomemm:  Sorry can't help with your queries, hopefully someone will be along.  You could use the search box = 'mirena coil' - there are several threads.

Blood tests are reliably un-reliable - peri menopause are those years B4 menopause = last monthly period.  We are advised to be 12 months without a period B4 we can consider being in menopause however, Mother Nature often throws in a curved ball  ::).  So we have to begin counting again.

Some find that keeping a mood/food/symptom diary helpful.

let us know how you get on.
