Hi,
Is there any risk to accuracy of pregnancy urine tests whilst peri-menopausal and on HRT?
Do the HCG levels that fluctuate re menopausal stage affect the results?
Do the HCG fluctuations possibly affect a false positive?
Is a negative test definitely negative?
Thank you all :-)

Is this a WHOOPS moment :-\ ::)
:welcomemm: I would ring the pharmacist and ask the question - then let us know. It is suggested that we shouldn't have unprotected :safe: sex until we have been at least 12 months without a period.
Also, how old might you be ?
Browse round. Hopefully some1 will be along.

Age 53
Pharmacist said if you have tested twice and both tests were negative - the timeframe is key.
The first test was after recommended 21 days if no regular period. This was 22 days after unprot-sex and the second test was 42 days after, then as it is over 5-6 weeks since unprot-sex then unlikely to be pregnant.
