Title: Progesterone Intolerance
Post by: Rollergirl on September 20, 2023, 05:42:36 PM
Hi there,

Does anyone have prog intolerance and if so, have experience in trying compounded progesterone? So, a lower dose than the dreaded Utrogestan?

Thanks in advance

Hi it affects many women with unpleasant side effects.

How old are you?  Which regime have you been prescribed?  Hopefully some1 will be along with advice.

I am 47. Been in peri for 5 years and cannot tolerate Utrogestan. Have tried Crinone and Cyclogest with nasty consequences.

I am two pumps of gel and have been on and off due to this issue.

I am about to try the lozenges.

Thanks.

Rollergirl, I have tried compounded progesterone at a 50mg dose and it was excellent. I'm not progesterone intolerant but I hated Utrogestan and it set off my silent migraines.  You don't actually have to be progesterone intolerant to have horrendous problems with Utrogestan.

I have a long standing thread on compounded hormones which I will bump for you.

Thank you so much.

Where can I find your thread on compounded hormones?

I have tried Utrogestan which was horrendous, combination patch, Crinone and Cyclogest and all of them were nasty. My last hope is the prog lozenge.

I am starting on a low dose and building up from there, overseen by a brilliant specialist.

Thanks

Rollergirl, it's the thread immediately below this one.

Hope it helps!
