Yes first time for me this year. Ended up on Avamys, a steroid nasal spray which sorted it out. Within a few weeks of stopping it, it came back. New puppy in January, different fur to last dog, so I think her sleeping on our bed isn't helping either as it's better when we are away on holiday and she isn't with us. I also thought it reflux but it went with the steroid, which GP said it wouldn't have done. The nasal drip (down back of throat) causes throat irritation, its really annoying. Back on Avamys again and it's gone 🤷♂️

Also to add, I'd avoid the nasal spray if you can, especially if you get anxiety, it does give me unpleasant jitters for a few hours after taking it, so I'm coming off it again!

Useful to know thank you cos it adds to the long list of what I’ve got …lol x

Hi Booroo,
Would you, if you log symptoms, say your sinus type issues have a cyclical pattern to them? I only ask because you mention hayfever etc, which is a histamine issue. I know when I was on oestrogel, it really affected histamine. It calmed down during weeks 3 and 4 when progesterone was introduced and then started again about day 5. It’s just a thought if you can’t pinpoint any other culprit.

Funny I was thinking that other day does this have a cycle? I’ve been on sandrena asi ve January and Mirena since June as had issues with bleeding so got checked
If it is cyclical then I guess it is another one to add to the list

Good luck with the puppy - we have a dog thread somewhere ;)

So it's a thing! I have suffered badly with exactly what you have described all summer. I only realised what the cause could be yesterday, I love Heleniums and bought some more this year, the common name for them is Sneezeweed, someone gave them that name for a good reason, but dopey me has just cottoned on! They have made me stream, cough, tickly throat and yes, I also thought reflux but am happy to read this thread and see I am not the only one.
I made a big mistake by taking a histamine tablet and what does that do, dries everything up and now I am suffering from a bad flare up of VA, but I know that will clear up in a couple of days.
