Title: Red Clover - Anyone experience weight gain?
Post by: emj201 on September 01, 2023, 08:32:32 PM
I’m looking for an alternative to HRT as I really hate it. Makes me weepy and bloated with lots of water retention. I was wondering if anyone has any experience using red clover and whether they experienced any weight side effects? I’ve read it’s also good for bone health which would be a plus for me.

I have no idea Emj but I’d be keen to find out too.

Btw, I looked up Dr Marilyn Grenville and am thinking about buying her book.  I already take a few amino acids and supplements - tyrosine, Co10, lysine, glutamine, NAC, GABA, rhodiola rosea, omega oils etc - are there any that you take and others you would recommend?  I use them for a couple of months twice a year but don’t really know if they make a difference.

I also wanted to ask whether you came off your HRT cold turkey or gradually.  I was on one pump a day and could reduce but I really want to avoid the progesterone so I haven’t had anything for a week or so.
