Just an update of my suspected UTI. The lab result was negative. My increased visits to the loo stopped after a day of antibiotics. The pelvic discomfort continued, moving to my lower back like period pain. I decided to continue the 7 day AB course. In the meantime I'd noticed blood trace on my vagifem applicator. I had an exam, swab, all normal. Blood test for the ovarian cancer marker, normal. Waiting for ultrasound scan. The pains stopped after the full AB course. I'm now wondering about urine tests. My GP was puzzled too. I read info about how even lab ones can be wrong. In any case I'm having a good MOT down there. She's told me I can use the vagifem more often if I need to but suggested ovestin twice a week but to just find what controls symptoms and to continue with the profalactic AB. She said so many women must be suffering, they only mention hot flushes etc if anything at all. At last someone who listened and reassured.

Sounds like you have a good doctor there. Lab results can be wrong sometimes like anything else,

As suggested many times on the Forum: use 'vagifem' and/or 'ovestin' as often as required, every night if necessary. Regardless of what is written in the leaflet in the boxes and GPs need educating! Sounds like yours is kind of on board.

She did say that using it every day can be problematic if you're having sex, you'd have to skip. It's not a problem I have unfortunately 😊

She's taking out of her rear end >:(. With us if sex is on the menu then I insert afterwards or miss that night. In 6-7 years it's never been a problem, why could it be. :-\. It's about communication between partners, surely.

I guess so. I don't have a conventional relationship. I'm not using it nightly anyway,. I don't need it ....yet.
