Title: Stopping HRT
Post by: Paulina on June 05, 2023, 10:57:19 AM
Hi, i am new to this group but and found this during quite a lot of searching for information that can help me.
ive was on HRT for just over 5 months when i started bleeding it was quite heavy and i have not have a normal menstral cycle for a few years due to having the mirena coil fitted for quite a long time, this was removed when i started HRT.
I had quite a lot of success on HRT ie no hot flashes, and getting my energy levels back and also feeling more like me.
i contacted my GP

Hello and welcome to the forum. It sounds to me like you felt better on HRT but are asking if you should stop it? Is that correct? I apologise as I have brain fog today. :)

Are you on any progesterone now? Is so what and how much? How much oestrogen? As you tolerated the mirena well I'm a little surprised they didn't replace it with a new one.
