Hi ladies
A lot of our posts mention health anxiety. I’m interested on opinions as to whether you think this is a menopause symptom or was prevalent beforehand.
My health anxiety is worse than ever. A tiny little pain turns in to a fatal disease. It’s actually starting to affect my life.
Just wondering how others manage this. I am waiting for psychotherapy.
Thanks

I’ve always been a bit iffy about health issues, but my health anxiety definitely ramped up during peri. Like you say, every little twinge was something deadly. However, these days l just remind myself that l survived whatever dreadful illness l was suffering from last week! You are not alone.

I’ve always had a bit of health anzobit would say without a doubt it is 100 times worse since hitting peri menopause.

Have always been a bit of a worrier (for others as well as myself) but never felt anxiety in any form until 8-9 years ago when I started peri- menopause.
The health anxiety is not even worrying about twinges - it's actively checking myself out every single day looking for changes or things that could be "terminal". Its ridiculous, annoying and exhausting as I know it's not rational but I can't help it. Defo a menopause thing for me.

Anxiety isn't logical or rational. How does it affect U, is it a physical feeling or in your head?
