Title: Alone
Post by: Natalie85 on May 17, 2023, 10:53:36 AM
Feel alone. I know there are loads of women out there that are going thro the same, some worse but to me I feel alone.
My partner is older and doesn’t understand. He’s told me he hates being around me when I’m moody and can’t to be in the house with me. Not only do I have to worry about myself but the relationship too.
I do get moody, hormonal or very irritated but to hear the one person who’s meant to help you thro it and be at your side would rather be any where else but there hurts. The thoughts that run thro my head are wild, unruly and painful.  :'(

I'm sorry you feel like that, it's something many of us have been through. Perhaps print off the 'advice for husbands' pinned post and stick it under his nose to read. I turned from laid back and active to a snarling couch potato but sometimes they don't realise it isn't your fault you're like that. The advice to see your gp is good. Are you on HRT? It should help your mood, it's been life changing for me.

So sorry to hear you are feeling so alone. I think meno can be such a confusing and lonely time and with your partner saying what he said to you that is bound to make you feel even worse. You cannot help how you are feeling.

Here is a link to the guide for husbands that Shelia mentioned. It is very important he reads this so he can have more empathy for what you are going through.
