Hi all,
Probably more of a whinge post but to spare the husband I'll share on here.
Have been on HRT for 18 months - mirena and estrogen. I'm 56
Over the last few months I've felt exhausted, had aches and pains and just feel generally fed up. Have always been a gym bunny but find this an effort now and I ache for days after.
I'm feeling like I did before HRT but not totally. My sweats have still gone and I'm sort of ok but I'm thinking. Has the HRT dose become inadequate?
Or is it that I expect too much from this medication and I am infact just ageing ?!!!!!
Recent blood test are fine for iron, Thyroid etc so I'm not worried about those.
Can anyone relate ?

Yep. Crashing fatigue is common in peri menopause, I remember my Mum suddenly switching off the cooker, sitting down and going to sleep. For a couple of hours.
How are your VitD levels?
-
Hi, yes Vit D levels fine !
Maybe I just need to accept my body doesn't have the energy levels it once had !
Thanks for input x

Acceptance can be hard though :-\. My head is still 16 ;D

How much oestrogen do you take? Maybe you need more. Also ... A lot of us notice a big difference in energy levels when we add in testosterone. x

Could be the aging process.
I naively thought hrt would bring me back to life. It hasn’t. Energy levels are ridiculously low and I ache absolutely everywhere. Doesn’t help having knackered discs in back and damaged nerves somewhere in the body.
Oh the joys 🙈🙈
