Hello
Newbie to posting in the forum but not new to meno or browsing your posts :)

My menopause journey

I came off the pill at 46 and after 30 years my body must have been in shock and took 6 months to get a period. Blood test showed fsh levels 80+. I didnt know anything then. At that time and since then, sorry to say I've had bad and sometimes dangerous advice from nhs GPs. I've tried without hrt and with, lots of different types, it's a long list! As time goes on, I've needed to change.

Of the supplements, red clover promensil cut down number and severity of flushes.

I'm now 58 and currently on oestrogel 2 pumps, utrogestan vaginally long cycle and vagifem. I see a private Dr due to the long cycle. Interested in changing to tibolone before the risks go up after age 60, sounds like it causes weight gain?

Hi!  if the regime is working, why change?  If the private Dr explains the possibility of any risks, then there really isn't any reason to stop.

Is the 'vagifem' helping?

Hi, I'm just so fed up with utrogestan vaginally but maybe I just have to accept it, it's better than side effects I get with oral tablets.
Vagifem does work well.
Thank you  :)

Hello Kingfisher and welcome to the forum. Perhaps it will help to put Tibolone into the search bar of the forum and see what pops up. I know there were some recent posts about it but I cannot remember what they said.

It is good to hear the vagifem is helping. :)
