I am on evoral 50 patches and use utrogestan 12 days a month vaginally. Usually a few days after the utrogestan I start a bleed which is much like a normal period including some cramping etc.
After a course of broad spectrum antibiotics for strep throat I developed thrush and as I used a vaginal pessary I delayed taking my utrogestan for a few days until the thrush cleared up which it has. I then went to start my utrogestan last night but my period had started or I had a bleed at least. This is a bit early as my last bleed was from the 11th of April until the 16th of april. I assume this is my own natural cycle breaking though but I'm not sure if I should just let this bleed happen then count 15 days from yestarday to restart utrogestan or just start using the utrogestan as planned now even if i am currently bleeding?
I could and will ask my GP but unfortunetly she won't know as she writes to the menopause clinic about everything and it takes weeks for a reply so I would't hear back for weeks which doesn't help me at the moment so I'm hoping someone else has experience of this and is able to share any knowledge they have!
