I’ve searched the VA threads but can’t quite find an answer.
I’m using Vagirux every day. Trying reducing after the loading dose but I only get mild relief if I use it all the time. Am also using YES moisturiser. However I still feel neither of these are quite what I need. I still feel quite irritated and itchy. Is there a medicated cream that I can buy or request from my GP? Any advice welcome please. Px

How long have you been using Vagirux? It can take quite a while to work. You can ask your GP for Ovestin just to use on the labia, as the estradiol inserts alone don't always fix the external problems. Many women use Vagifem/Vagirux internally plus Ovestin externally.

I think it may be you trying to reduce it that is causing you to flare. Some of us need to use this daily and it can take a while before you could try reducing the dose. I use Ovestin every single day and sometimes I need it twice a day.

It really depends on how long you have been using the treatment, don't even think of reducing until you start to feel any benefits which can literally take months.
You might need Ovestin cream to apply topically to use alongside the Vagirux, its all about patience and finding a regime that works for you. I will say there has been a few posts on here with women not getting on with Vagirux and preferring Vagifem instead, even though they have the exact same composition, apparently.
My regime is Vagifem, Ovestin, and moisturiser every day for two years so far, I have tried to reduce but without success, but I am not on any other form of HRT.
