Title: HRT patches and bleeding
Post by: Carabelle on April 29, 2023, 08:53:26 AM
Been on Evorel Conti since Jan mostly to help with the sleeping. Sleeping has improved but bleeding every other week is not great. How long does it take to settle? That’s been 3 months now and my patience is wearing thin!

Conti are notorious for causing bleeding issues I think. I would give them the full six months, then if the bleeding persists, switch to something else maybe?

Bleeding is a common problem when using HRT. Something they don’t really explain fully!

My bleeding never resolved, even though 5 years post meno. Had to have coil fitted eventually.

Bleeding can happen for up to 6 months of starting HRT.  Im on Evorel Conti as well and first 5 months was great then bleeding started and still bleeding now (7M).  Maybe give it the full 6 months and see if it calms down, and if it doesn't then contact your Dr to seek an alternative.

We're you definitely meno (1 year without a bleed) before you started? If not you might be better on a sequi regime.

I was yes. Had a full year without any bleeding. I think I’ll stick with it for the 6 months and see how it works out.

I think I’ll give it the 6 months then review the situation. Just had gallbladder removal surgery on Wednesday so dealing with that at the moment. Thanks for your comments.
