Hello i am new to menopause matters and just joined today.
I was on 2 pumps of oestrogel and 100mg of Utrogestan but it wasn’t controlling my symptoms. GPSuggested i upped the dose to 3 pumps and all was good for two months and i have had a breakthrough bleed for 10 days. I am 58 and defo post memo. The GP has suggested increasing my Utrogestan to 200mg continuous or adopt a wait and watch approach. I’m confused - has anyone tried 200mg Utrogestan continuous it feels a lot to me and think the progesterone to oestrogen ratio will be high and cause more problems.
Any suggestions welcomed

Hi when you change dosage of oestrogen breakthrough bleeding can happen for up to 6 months.
New advice is to take 200mg of Utrogestan if bleeding is a problem.
