Title: Return of period when on coil and patch
Post by: Lyn on March 24, 2023, 02:44:05 PM
I've had the mirena coil and patch for a year now, and while it took six months for my period to almost stop, I still had very light spotting for one day which I could totally live with. This past month, my period has returned, along with light headedness, cramp and teariness. Should I be seeing the gp to up my patch? It's currently 75 and I'm only 47.

I had mirena fitted in January 2020. Took quite a while to settle but have been having spotting increasingly over last 6 months with currently 75 estrodot patch, I tried just about every patch, gel and spray! Had vaginal ultrasound in December but because I’m still spotting GP has referred me for husteroscopy after he got advice from gynaecology dept. It’s the period type pains that are bothering me. It’s annoying rather than worrying me, I thought I’d found my perfect solution! And I don’t much want a hysteroscopy after reading about it here!
