Title: Reducing tostran

I've been using Tostran for 5 years. We moved house last year and my new GP won't prescribe Tostran for all the reasons we know. While I try and sort out a consultant I have reduced my dose from 5 pumps a week to 4  (about 3 weeks ago) Last weekend I started spotting and now light bleeding. I've asked my GP if this could be due to reducing the testosterone but she said no. It seems too much of a coincidence to me. Had anyone experienced this? I'm 65.

I'm not aware it can cause it either. I think you're on a very high dose of Tostran? My prescription is one pump every other day.

GP's won't prescribe testosterone because it isn't licenced for women. There are no long term studies on safety. I've also been told it doesn't give any benefit, but neither does HRT  :-\
