Hi all,
Not been on for a while. I am 66, came off HRT around four years ago due to constant hyperplasia, and pressure from womens health clinic to come off it, I had been on it about 18 years. I was on sequential HRT, and had a bleed approx every 8 weeks.
I have been fine off HRT for most of the time, but for the past 8 months or so have suffered constant tiredness, no energy and lack of motivation. Although some days I feel ok. I also have underactive thyroid, but I am treated for that and dont think that is the problem. I feel it is hormones.
My question is should I ask to go back on HRT, although I dont want to go back on the same regime, hate the bleeding. Any advice appreciated.

Morning. Who is over seeing your thyroid dis-function? Even when blood tests come back 'within normal limits', the NHS seems reluctant to investigate further even when patients continue to complain.
Also : Low VitD can cause intense tiredness. Appropriate capsules helped improve my feelings of not being able to do much except sit and watch the wall. I began to think that I had something serious ::)

Hi
I see a private endo for my thyroid. I have vit D but admit I do forget to take it. What brand Vit D do you take?

Forgot to add I am trialling Testogel, to see if it helps with fatigue. I have been taking it since November, not really noticed an improvement, it may take longer.

Hi you can go on a continuous regime which is a no bleed regime for post menopause .
You would have been bleeding because you were on a sequential regime which causes bleeding.

Is that the patch with the progesterone and oestrogen in?

I forget my VitD too! Can't remember what I have to hand, NOTE to self ::). Get some down you, it will help.
Do U require testosterone?

Have you thought about supplements, as we age we definitely need them as we can easily become deficient in vitamins and minerals with the aging process.
I am not on systemic HRT but I am no longer always tired and run down since I started using supplements. They have definitely been a game changer for me. Every day I take VitD3, B12, Probiotic, and the biggest game changer for me is Zinc, it reversed years of me being prediabetic, I am now a long way from developing type 2 diabetes.
I never took a supplement in my life before, now I couldn't live without them!
