Title: Utrogestan vs Provera
Post by: Songbird on February 27, 2023, 02:47:48 PM
Well. I picked up my prescription today and was given provera rather than my usual utrogestan. The pharmacist assured me that provera is perfectly fine as an alternative to utrogestan (which is out of stock again!) I’m hoping it’s ok. I take the utrogestan orally at bedtime and always get a good sleep now so I’m hoping for the same with provera  :o…..
Do any of you ladies have experiences you can share?

I started out on Utrogestan and had awful side effects like digestive issues, stomach cramps, headaches etc.

I then changed to Provera and it was wonderful, all my side effects went but, unfortunately, after a few months on it I started spotting.

I didn’t notice any significant help with sleep from either one though.
