Hello and welcome to the forum. I think it depends on how severe the constipation is and how long it has been going on for. Although you say it has been caused by menopause, sometimes women seem to get IBS C during menopause so with things like that it could benefit from some kind of treatment. Sorry, I know you do not want solutions but just thought I would mention that. :)

Why don't you want solutions  :-\.

Menopause is natural, so are periods.  10 mins B4 a bleed began I would have to dash to the loo, even if a period wasn't due.  Hormones.

Some find that peri-menopause irritates the bowel and/or causes IBS symptoms.  I have suffered slow transit  >:( for years.  It won't improve at. my age (almost 70) but I am used to it's habits.

U R not in the UK?  Isyour diet healthy with plenty of fruits and veg., kidneys functioning well and bowels 'normal for you' ...... however if you are passing blood unexpectedly or not opening the bowel for as long as 3 weeks then mayB see a health practitioner.
