Title: Anyone with HPV?

Hi,

Has anyone got HPV and is also on HRT? I’d be interested to hear from you if so!

I wss diagnosed with high and low risk HPV last year. I was having erratic periods at the time and around that time diagnosed with early menopause. My oestrogen was swinging from low to high.
I got rid of the genital warts and they disappeared for a few months but they reappeared soon after started applying oestrogen cream.
I’ve read that peristent hpv is significantly more common among women who are on oral contraceptives - likely because of higher oestrogen. I’m worried about taking hrt/oestrogen while I’ve still got HPV. My GP did not know the answer to this.

I had pre-cancerous cells 25 years ago so presumably have the high risk one. I don't know the answer but there may be other factors. Except for a very few everyone on a bcp is sexually active and not using a barrier method so at higher risk of an std. Don't most BCPs work by giving a high dose of progesterone not oestrogen?
