Hello ladies
I have seen a menopause specialist who has changed my HRT. I am currently on Femoston tablets and she has changed me to gel and Utrogestan tablets. I’ve now picked up my prescription and am keen to crack on, but am mid-way through my pack, just about to start the oestrogen/progesterone tablet part.
Should I wait until the end of the pack before I start, or can I get on with my new regime straightaway?
Many thanks 🙏🏻

Are you taking hrt continuously ( post meno) or on a sequential basis ?

It’s sequential, so constant oestrogen, two weeks progesterone

If you’re about to start the progesterone phase then I would switch to the gel and Utrogestan at the same time as you were going to start the progesterone phase.
Or carry on with the Femoston until you’ve finished the progesterone part and then start the Oestrogel on its own and then start the Utrogestan two weeks later.

Thank you Dotty….that’s kind of what I was thinking, I could start the oestrogen and utrogestan together at the same time as I was about to start the progesterone part of the Femoston, so effectively mimicking the cycle I’ve been on…
