Title: Morning grogginess estrogel
Post by: Girlinabox on February 12, 2023, 07:35:31 AM
I’ve been on estrogel for approx 2 weeks now. Two pumps in the morning. Haven’t taken the utrogestan yet.

Feel much more like my old self emotionally and am getting 7-9 hours sleep!!!

I’m no longer waking in the night to go to the toilet (sometimes was twice a night) but I do have water retention and wake each morning all puffy. However I wake each morning very groggy. This is new to me. I used to wake tired but alert in the mornings. Now it’s taking me a good hour to get going.

Any tips/ideas that could help please?

So two weeks is very early days - it might settle down by itself. If it continues maybe you are still making a good bit of oestrogen by yourself so you could try reducing down by half a pump?
