Title: considering lowering HRT

I have been on HRT since December 2012 after having a total hysterectomy but this last few years put on an extreme amount of weight, very tired, not interested in sex and getting headaches again, I am on 2mg of estrogen and was going to ask GP to try 1mg instead, what do you guys think,,

I’d say you need to increase, not decrease if symptoms have come back.

My symptons have not come back, as for all things menopausal its been great but the weight gain and headaches are bad. Thought after nearly 11 years i would try 1mg .

You can try lowering it and see what happens. x

Given the lack of libido perhaps adding testosterone would help?
