Title: Advice for coming off HRT patches after 6 weeks
Post by: Budder on January 22, 2023, 12:20:38 PM
I would like some advice about coming off Estraderm 50 patches after 6 weeks. I am worried about side effects. Does anyone have any advice or experience of doing this. Thanks

Hi, I’m no expert, but when I tried Everol Sequi HRT for a few months last year and decided to stop to see how my symptoms were I just stopped everything after I’d had a bleed.

I kept a diary and nothing much happened really, no big side effects at all. It was a month later that my original symptoms came back though. I think some people say to taper down the dose, if it’s large but the 50mg patches are only a medium dose so you may be ok just stopping I think. Hopefully others with more experience will be able to help!

HI! R U able to explain any side effects?

How R your periods behaving and how old R U?  Think why you asked for HRT initially.  Do U keep a mood/food/symptom diary?

If HRT isn't helping, it may need a hike rather than stopping completely.  Which should be weaned off, mayB speak to your prescribing practitioner.
