I'm currently going through Perimenopause. I'm 50 years of age. My periods until now have been every 24 days but, in the last month, I've only had a 10 day gap between my cycle ending and starting. Is this normal? I have anxiety and I'm panicking.

Hi yes it’s normal for peri menopause. Periods can get longer or shorter; heavier or lighter; more or less frequent.

Hi Jules 1. This is perfectly normal in peri-menopause and can be extremely annoying. It's due to hormonal fluctuations. Periods may become more or less frequent, heavier or lighter and longer or shorter. You may go many months without them only for them to return again. Have you other peri symptoms?
Any other questions or worries just ask away and we will try to help.

Thank you so much for your replies, it's good to have someone to talk things through to. My husband is extremely supportive but, I feel like he gets fed up with me worrying and saying what's wrong with me.

Welcome. Periods wax and wane as hormone levels rise and fall ::). After mine stopped I didn't stop carrying protection for 5 years.
Browse round. Make notes. Ask away !
