Evening All ,
I started HRT two weeks ago ( so very early days ) but just wanted to ask a few questions …..
4 days after applying my first patch I came down with Covid so probably haven’t got of to the best start with the HRT ….
However I just wondered if anyone experienced their symptoms ( mainly anxiety and hot flushes ) getting worse before they got better and did things eventually settle ? I must admit to not feeling too great at the moment and like I say I know it’s fairly early days but think I just wanted a little reassurance…….
Thanks as always

Covid seems to interfere with it. I had a return of symptoms just because of the vaccination. It should improve over time.

Many thanks for your reply , covid does seem to affect many ladies on here , I guess I never really had chance to see any improvements before I had it so rather than a return of symptoms it appears to have worsened my symptoms !! Will try not to give up hope too soon and fingers crossed things settle as I understand it’s best to give it a few months …..

Sorry you had covid.
I found my anxiety and hot flushes went as soon as I was prescribed enough oestrogen.
Well, the flushes did, as soon as I got onto 100mcg.
I am now on 50, as I bled and had to reduce.
I need a fan in bed, mad in winter I know :D

Thanks for the reply , I have definitely seen some improvement in the hot flushes as these have reduced and I think the anxiety is easing a little but is definitely still there , I guess I’m just a little impatient ! Will see how I am after the three months and maybe try a slightly higher dose to see if that helps further .
Thanks

My anxiety took 3 months to go completely, very much up and down before that. You need to give it time.
