I have recently been put onto patches but am finding the effects only last for 2 days not 3 to 4 before they run out and I get all the effects like hot flushes, headaches etc. Is it just that it will take time for my system to adjust or I wondered maybe if I just absorb fast. I was changed onto patches as my blood levels were so low (53) and the Consultant felt I would benefit from a low steady absorption rate which she says patches are better for. Does anyone else find their patch runs out long before it is meant to? Many thanks.

I know some members change their patches every 3.5 days so there is a more constant supply of oestrogen. It is not nice you are finding your patches decline after just two days. I am wondering if this means you need an increase. You could try and see if this settles and hopefully it is just a matter of you adjusting. I know it is not adviced to increase quickly.

I am on Everol 100 and leave it on for 4 whole days. This works very well for me🙂

Pippa52 - It does sound like you maybe need to increase the dose but if you've only been using them for a few days then I would perhaps wait a while longer. You haven't said the dose of patches you are using nor what you were using before, nor what regime you are on - cyclical etc or progestogen?
I started off 4 days then 3 days when I was late peri. After a few years changes to 3.5 days and then a couple of years ago to every 3 days - to maximise my levels per patch. Changing too often is counterproductive and better to increase the dose.
All the best with your trial....
