Title: Mattresses for different body weights
Post by: Roobee on December 04, 2022, 08:17:41 AM
Does anyone here have a bed where 2 mattresses join together? For sleeping partners of different weights. I have just bought a Sealy mattress which I sleep so well on alone when my husband is working nights, but when he works days and sleeps at night, I toss and turn and wake up with hip and shoulder pain.
Just wondering if dual mattresses would help, before I give up and move to another room forever 😂

😂😂 I cannot stand it anymore! So maybe don’t send the mattress back but try to get a refund on the husband then?

Yes,think that's the best bet, mine is a snorer,so if you have any recommendations of pillows that I can slap over his moosh,it would be much appreciated 😂
We bought an Emma mattress which cost a pretty penny but like your sealy,I was nearly bounced out of the bed every time he turned 😡 read some reviews on the Inofia and decided to go for it and they really are great, not once have I felt him moving about (that sounds wrong  ;D ) don't think they're as expensive as others, take a look

We have a Tempur-pedic mattress and I don't hear or feel dh moving pretty much at all...other than when I poke him to stop snoring and he rolls over. :)

Thanks ladies. Jaypo I understand the bounce completely 🤦🏼‍♀️ I wake up with my husband on my back like a rucksack, literally wrapped round me and squashing me! Just as well I don’t have a camera in the bedroom, because the violence and choice words I use to extract him, are not good! 😂
I try to sleep with my elbow stuck out as a barrier.
None of this aids a good nights sleep!

Oh dear Roobee, I couldn't cope with that, because of the hot flushes, I think our ancestors had it right when they slept in different beds/rooms
You could try velcroing him to the bed?  ;D

I agree separate beds for sure, I may let him stay until Xmas (season of goodwill and all) then bin him off to the spare room!
