Title: Is very light spotting a period?
Post by: Elliebee on December 02, 2022, 11:40:48 AM
For the past few months I have very light spotting when my period is due. This is only noticeable on wiping after a wee and can only be for a day or two. Is this still classed as a period?

I would have classed it as such.  Is the blood red or brown, I had both during my menstruating years.  A couple of days clear at the end of each period followed by 48 hours of old brown blood.  Then clear for a couple of weeks  ::)

How do you feel otherwise?

It is red and only really noticeable after peeing and wiping. I do sometimes get the old brown blood spotting near end of “period”. Still getting pms symptoms which seem worse. It’s a relief when I do bleed/spot!

PMS happens in the 10-14 days prior to a period.  Eating regularly can ease symptoms.
