Title: Ovestin and sex
Post by: Peanut31 on November 27, 2022, 10:55:20 PM
Hi

After advice on here, I’ve managed to get some Ovestin and Vagifem cream from the menopause clinic I’m with.

I’ve dropped off a urine sample at my GP surgery Friday 1st thing in the morning. Told the results would be back by the time they closed 6.30pm. I phoned at 5.30pm only to be told they will not be back until Monday or Tuesday!!!

I can’t handle the itchy feeling anymore, the cystitis has gone, but the thrush feeling is back.

This is how’s it’s been, thrush then cystitis. I’ve tried creams, cystitis sachets and only seem to manage to get the symptoms to a manageable feeling, I can’t handle it anymore waiting to see if I have an infection.

Anyway my question is, when it it safe to have intercourse after the cream?.

I was going to administer a dosage tonight after a shower. The way I feel at the moment down below I’m not wanting sex, but,  if it improves I might treat Hubby.

Best wishes

Best to insert Vagifem and apply Ovestin after sex, so that you get the full benefit. Otherwise, insert Vagifem in the morning.
