Title: Estradot patches
Post by: Nas on November 27, 2022, 12:50:57 PM
Hi ladies,

I’m on evorel, but want to trial Estradot as i don’t think I’m
absorbing much of the 75 and the 100 just makes me feel meh.

I’ve got a review next Monday and will ask to trial Estradot then, but having asked the pharmacies locally, it seems they are in short supply still?

Is anyone managing to get Estradot successfully at present?

Thanks.

Yes Hurdity, I did think that.
I’ve modified my post, so it’s in line with rules etc.

Hoping I can source some of these Estradot patches from somewhere!

😊

No, I picked up a new 75 mcg prescription last week and couldn't get it.  The bigger chain pharmacies (e.g. Boots, Lloyds) won't substitute, but there is a small local one that is happy to do so, so I got substituted with Evorel.  I've been on 3 different doses this year (25, 50 and 75) and needed to be substituted for all of them.  Total pain.

This is really interesting to me as I was on 75 mcg Estradot but only for 4 weeks as the supply issues with Estradot appear to be really bad. I'm now on the same dose of Evorel and some of my symptoms are back. Not sure whether to increase the dose.

Hi I’m new to this forum. I’ve had to ring around pharmacy’s to get Estradot patches. I have even got some from the south coast. ( I live up north). My sister in law collected and sent. Lol
On symptoms coming back , I have gone from everol to Estradot. Symptoms came back   And from estradot to everol. Symtons started to come back as well.  In both cases within the week
That’s when I pushed for estradot prescription   It’s weird x

Are you better on Estradot patches than evorel, Ali? I honestly don’t know. I’ve just upped my evorel to 100, so will see what happens! X

Hi Nas. I don’t think I was in the Everel log enough to see if it stopped all my original symptoms. Sorry.

I got some 8 weeks ago; if you ring round pharmacies first and then ask them to put any aside. Then get the Gp to send the prescription there.

Or pick up prescription and go hunting.

I will be starting again next week as will be starting my last box. I feel I have to allow a month to search!

I've been told by my pharmacist they can't get Estradot, but I'm going to try again as after 6 months of Everol I know I absorb better from Estradot (despite being tiny!) and I'd need 100 mcg if I have to stick to Everol....

I have literally just ben swopped onto Estradot patches a few days ago after coming off Oestrogel which was making me feel very unwell.  I seriously could not bear to have to swop again onto something else after a year of being changed around so many times.  I hope and pray the shortage gets sorted soon - it's so unfair on so many women having to chop and change all the time.
