Title: Teenagers
Post by: Pollydollydoodle on November 26, 2022, 10:49:47 PM
Hi, has anyone tried explaining menopause and related moods and erratic behaviours to their teenage sons? I tried yesterday (after a red mist outburst) but not too sure my 16 yr old son was too impressed with my explanation!! Px

Hi polly, I do agree that boys NEED to be taught about menopause as well as girls, they may not fully understand it all but at least you've touched base with him, well done  :)

I’d like to second that.
Too much as with many other things brushed under the carpet years ago and not talked about.
Probably more than ever with social media influences teenage boys need to understand girls/women better.
Good on you.

Perhaps print off the 'Advice for husbands' pinned post so he can read it without having to communicate. It helped my OH and teenage daughter understand. Education is everything and sadly lacking in this area, it's going to affect most people even if it's just relationships with family members or colleagues.
