When I thought it was other things causing all my symptoms I got a medichecks full thyroid panel 2 for 1. I had to do the second this week and added in a testosterone test.
I’ve been on 100 patch for 8 weeks with utrogestan, and 87.5 for 6 weeks before that. Still some aching joint issues and fatigue.
Testosterone has come back at 0.15 (0.29-1.67)
Is it worth pursuing with the Gp?
SHe’s said she had prescribed it before but made it clear oestrogen was what I needed to focus on (blood tests were
Not maximised on 75 patches)

Bump - anyone?

Hi Clarella
Yes your testosterone is low so worth pursuing.
Concentrate on telling your Gp that you have low libido as that is the only reason they are allowed to prescribe.
Good luck x

Thank you - is it worth discussing more oestrogen? I fear that will be a battle. I have suspected the testosterone being a main issue for a while though.
But get tied up in whether testosterone will get converted to oestrogen if that’s not maximised.
I never used to have heavy periods at all. But was definitely stronger and had better libido. I’m also hypothyroid

Oestrogen was 260 in 75 patches. 130 ish on 50.

I’d stick with what you’re on. x
