Post by: discogirl on November 12, 2022, 07:26:47 PM
ive just started on gel 2 pumps and ive noticed my anxiety is worse.

ive been reading on the oestrogel support thread thst lotions, moisturisers etc can affect absorbtion.

my shower gel has moisturisers in it ive just realised.

has anyone had similar experience of stuff like this affecting aborbtion of the gel.

i intend to use simple soap tomorrow instead.

id love to hear anyone elses experiences xx

I hope the gel works for you disco. It sends me into overdrive and I end up feeling very wired on it.

I think you need apply to clean unmoisturised skin and let it dry naturally. Some say apply but don’t rub in. Others says rub into skin. What ever works for you I guess.

Good luck 🤞

i use it in the mornings.

it would energise me far too much to use at night.

Hi don’t use moisturising shower gels or moisturising creams in the areas where you use the gel. They can stop absorption of the gel x

Hi disco girl, sorry to hear your anxiety is worse, I use a moisturising shower gel and my gel still works. I think body lotion would stop it absorbing though. I rub it in over a large area so it’s in a thin layer. X

hi katherine

thanks for that.

i may use simple soap just to be on the safe side.

i like the gel but its early days to say hoe i'll be on it.

the increase anxiety may just be my body settling to the change from patch to gel.

hope your keeping ok xxx

It could be that you just need more time for your oestrogen levels to build up, it took months to feel it working for me but it sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I like simple soap too, and the shampoo x
